McClymonds High Experience
I attended a very good academic high school in the middle of a "bad" neighborhood, "bad" meaning not the richest area. Although there was crime and poverty in the city I attended high school, home is home. My school was the type of environment where the education was there for you if you wanted to strive to be better. I graduated with a 3.4 cumulative grade point average and many of my peers received scholarships to very good colleges. There was also a large group of my peers who I seen in class as little as a handful of times during a whole school year. With that being said, life is what you make it and your surroundings shouldn't determine your future life path. My parents worked very hard to make sure I had the since and values to want a good education. I would love to hear some feedback about this blog. I think it would be an excellent in class discussion. Speech
Slang terminology used with you friends and peers I think is a part of human nature. You should always have the ability to code switch to survive in this life. You wouldn't speak the same in front of your parents that you would in from of your friend. My parents speak very proper english and this is the reason I am able to code switch. Some of the word i use with my friends im almost possitive 7 out of 10 people would have no clue what we where talking about. Always remember the importance of CODE SWITCHING.
